Problems
none had it done by performance tire superstore Gardena CA.
Tips
specialty places like Performance tire and wheelwarehouse are best @ mounting it. oh yeh play with ur Toe when u align it so it can be more stable.
Thoughts
grip, dry/ wet traction, and steering response are awesome. The tires grip gets better with speed it feels more stable @ 100mph then 60mph. My favorite tire so far compared to GR-beta and AVS S1's. they grip not just by tread compound but by the agressive tread blocks.
Other
225/45R17 are So expensive.kinda cost prohibitive, and if u want that flushed look with 17x7 rims use 215/40-45R17 tires. Tread Wear 280 ~!!! will last forever.
(update)
The main problems were mounting it on a 17x7 rim the tire shop had intial trouble but eventually got it on. I would recomend using a 17x7.5 size wheel. Other than that nothing major
take it to a pro shop with experience in mouning 17+ size tires. Align it after your install, full 4 wheel alignment is best. Break them in about 500-1000miles.
So far it has been a very well behaved and quiet tire. The ride is acceptable especially at freeway speeds. The wear is not too bad since i've had them since september 99' they have worn about 50-55%. That considering i drive rather aggressively. The tire is very grippy @ 65mph + speeds but tends to squeel at hard low speed (less than 45mph) turns. Overall it is a pretty good tire especially if your intrested more in show than ultimate grip (go buy R spec tires). excellent wet weather performance for a high po tire, performs better than any of my other hi performance tire choices previously in the rain.
280 tread wear, wears like a 200 treadwear with my driving style. Rather expensice @ $185.00 a tire. you can still break loose the tail.
