Subject: Shocks/Springs, worth it?

The shocks and springs togather can a very expensive decsision to make. whether i should get them or not? i contemplated for a whole year. are they worth the investment? well i recently got mine and heres what i think.

I got Tokico non-adjustable struts and intrax springs that lower the car 1.75 inches. Even through mail-order, they are very pricey. I installed them in about eight hours(if you're mechanically inclined and have the right tools its much shorter) with the help from a friend. Immediately i took it out for a spin and this is what i think:
hands up! its a positive choice i made and a very worthwile investment. see the average person with the average automotive knowledge thinks that all shocks do is absorb bumps. wrong. they do a lot more. they are largely responsible for keeping the tires on the road. you can have a 1000 hp but if your tires are not glued to the asphalt you're going nowhere. The tokicos not only help the ride, but they considerably improve your steering quality, braking, cornering, highway stability, body roll, responsiveness, cornering, and acceleration. They add the whole new-car feel to your car. You will feel the rear multilink suspension kick in. you can hit the curves with at least 50% more speed, a
million times more confidence and a huge smile on your face :). Only after replacing the stock struts/springs will you discover how truly capable this car is. It eats up the road!!

MORE POWER
by lowering the center of gravity, you reduce pitch and dive too. and these unwanted motions of the body rob a lot of power from the engine. once you get your suspension upgrade, all the power from engine can be changed kinetic energy w/o being wasted. you'll feel like your engine has gained instant power.
