Thoughts

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but boy these things make a HUGE difference and I've just gotta share it!!! I just came back from a lunch-time trip and tested the new bar that I fitted last night. YEEOWW!! 3 noticeable effects: 1) no more creaking and groaning from the sun-roof at all. Period. Gone. Just like that. 2) turn in is better, maybe more precise, especially on things like highway turn-arounds. 3) the car isn't upset by bumps and undulations under steady state cornering conditions...like your favorite bend you take at maybe 65 (say 30 over the recommended speed :)), but it's always white knuckles because of some bumps and ripples right at the apex that feel like the whole car gets scooted off-line. Well now, it's one hand on the wheel and adjust the stereo, it feels that stable.

Other

I'm not sure what the Stillen or Crusco units offer over it, other than cool styling and a little extra torsional rigidity, which may or may not be necessary. I'm guessing that a rear bar would make a similar improvement, especially in the fastback model I have.
