Problems

I suggest getting a good spring compressor, and purchasing all important suspension related parts in advance.. after 100k miles, it is suggested to change parts like Shocks, Struts, Springs, Strut Mounting Insulators, and possibly the dustboot/bouncer. Make sure to do it all at once, it saves the headache.. :)

Tips

Tell a friend.. when working with suspension parts, its always easier to have a helping hand. Just try to remember EXACTLY how you took things apart, that way you can make sure you put them back together perfectly. A lot of parts arent listed in the FSM. Make sure to *loosen* the top bolts for the struts/shocks before you jack the car up, it helps and saves time.

Thoughts

The decrease in ride height obviously does wonders for looks. -1" is a perfect amount of lowering for the average driver, especially if you live in the city. TOKICO parts are of excellent quality and exceed OEM performance. If you want a nice ride, go with TOKICO springs and KYB shocks. If you want a STIFF ride, go with TOKICO shocks and a short Eibach spring.

Other

Chosing your ride is the most important factor. Spending 600 bucks on suspension wasnt exactly a day at the beach. This choice can last a LONG time. You should really see what kind of terrain you drive on. If the streets you speed, err, drive on are bumpy, go for an OEM type suspension -- your car will handle better. If you drive on perfect grounds, then the stiffer the better.
