Tips

Grab your old shift knob and twist the bejeezus out of it. That's the best way not to damage your old knob. Also, if you leave the shift arm as is, you will need to put an o ring around the shifter to hold the shift boot up to the bottom of the shift knob. I cut my shifter to not need this.

Thoughts

Very nice feeling shift knob and great looking. It is made from a substantial piece of billet aluminum and is very high quality. It does get hot in the sun though. Would buy it again even at full price. eBay rules.

Other

Since it is a universal fit (it is held on with three allen head threaded inserts), I cut an inch off my shifter with a hack saw. Since the knob sits lower on the shift arm anyway, you have a poor man's short shifter. What a deal: A really cool shift knob and a short shifter for less than $40.
