Problems

Yess! Installation was a bi#%! The provided template does not work, if you cut a hole where the instructions ask you to, you're screwed. Every pipe and adaptor seems an inch short. The rubber adaptor on the secondary pipe was mounted on the wrong side. The ATS sensor cannot be fitted with silicone or loctite; you need to get screws and nuts to make sure theres no leak.

Tips

Ignore the template. Put the primary tube in place first, then attach MAF and secondary tube. Mark the hole you need to cut, and use tin snippers...they work fine. Connecting the adaptors and tubes togather can be tricky. Need to leave some spacing for proper positioning, but at the same time keep it ultra tight to prevent leaks.

Thoughts

The tubing is painted plain blue i.e. no graphics, no logo. I placed the K&N sticker provided just by the radiator cap. Now when you open the hood it looks downright mean. Removal of the crappy stock intake accessories freed up a lot of space.... Performance is where this unit really shines. Its probably the only CAI you can buy for the 240s. HP increase is in the 10-15HP range. I love the torque gains. Its hard to believe an intake can give you so much torque.... Also the combination of intake/exhaust make a nice race-car-like sound...

Other

You can't compare this unit to Stillen/HKS. Theres nothing like a CAI specially for such torquey engines... Now only if Place Racing was more generous with their pipe lengths. In the winters of the great white north, its fun to able to drift at 1000RPM!!!
