Problems
The rubber boot really does go over the fat part of the stick. Although it looks like there's no way in hell it'll fit, it will. Use a lot of lube like Vaseline, but keep the outer part of the boot dry. Clean off your hands, and then hold the boot shaft with one hand, shove down, when you're running out of room to shove more with one hand, grab the boot with your other hand and shove down. You'll know what I mean when you try to do it. Be sure to grasp as much of the boot as possible because you do not want to rip it.
Tips
Print out that installation guide that Ryan made. With both that and the instructions that come with the shifter, you should have no problem. Those of you who have changed the tranny fluid through the shifter hole will have absolutely no problem, until you get to the boot installation. At that point, it's not difficult as much as it is scary.
Thoughts
The amount of travel when shifting has definitely reduced. Slop in the shifter has also gone down significantly.
The quality of machining is very good. I've designed mechanical parts before, and I have no complaints.
Other
It's up to you to decide whether it's really worth the hundred bucks to put this in. It won't make you go any faster, but it will definitely make your car feel a lot sportier. Shifter throw is a lot like that of an S2000.
