Problems
problem finding a place to mount it. installation is not hard, but it's time consuming. most of the problems I had is trying to contact jacobs.
Have to modify the distributor cap, have jacobs done it around $60 including shipping.
Tips
get extra lugs, nuts, washers, etc before installing. While it is not prefdered,I had to mount it next to the header. I will move it away from the heat source next time when I have the time. (wanted to move it on the other side but too close to the fuel filter, nah... ). get new dist. cap and rotor if the car has high mileage. get high performance spark plug wires.
Thoughts
This is the first add on to my car,and can't tell if there's any improvement. Change the spark plug wires to high performance and increase the spark plug gap.
Other
Terrible service from Jacobs electronics, have to stay on the phone long time( if you're lucky enough to get to the waiting line). My technical e-mails were never replied either.
if wanting to stay stock, don't get it ( the stock coil is good enough for stock engine)go get intake system instead/first.
if wanting to modify the engine, intake, catback, etc then get it. I stated above that it's not worth it to get the omnipack because I don't have the fund to go crazy with the modification. I used to have a mitsubishi lancer 1.6 SOHC and power coil make a big difference performancewise( header, catback, intake, etc).
looks good in the engine bay especially with ACCEL blue thunder sport spark plug wires.
My car has 82Kmiles. Hope this helps
