I just got my car turbo'ed and boy is it great (John/Duy kit). Anyways, I got my turbo
timer yesterday and my Prestige 25CL alarm is worthless. I liked it for the kill switch
and the keyless entry and one button locking of the doors. I didnt have power door locks
so i had the alarm place put power door lock motors in. Anyways, now i cant set the alarm
while the car is still running (turbo timing) and it doesnt even set itself after the car
turns off now. What do i do???
Thanks,

Your alarm taps into a + signal off of the ignition. This wire stays hot for as long as
the car is on. Soo, like I did in my old 200SX turbo, you have look for a wire that is hot
when the key is in the ignition, but common when the key is removed. This is nomally the
acessories wire...

The alarm looks at the main power lead as an indicator. It keeps you from accidentally
arming it while cruising down the freeway (subssequently making the lights flash and alarm
blare - etc). You could go after this lead, in order to fool the alarm (possibly wire a
relay that's activated by the turbo timer or cut/ground the lead altogether). The problem
you face by cutting/grounding the lead is that the alarm will not go off when somebody
"hotwires" the car (or uses a dent puller...). This is why the relay/turbo
timer is probably a better option. This way, only when the turbo timer is activated is the
lead severed.
