Solution:
I finally talked to a friend who had a similar problem, and I found out what it was. The
seals on the transmission were leaky, causing the fluid to drip onto the exhaust, which
would cause the smoke. If you start seeing smoke or your shift knob begins feeling tight
when shifting, you might want to have your fluid checked. Gear lube is another good
investment for this problem.
