Whenever I wash my 1992 240sx water leeks into my roof and down into the interior dome light at the back of the roof. The dome light ends up filling full of water and i have to remove the cover to drain it. Is this water coming from my sunroof? Or could it enter from somewhere else? If it is the sunroof leeking how can i fix the problem?

Re. 1

Their should be some drain tubes for the sunroof area. I don't have a sunroof on mine but have had them on other cars. They don't seal water at the skin of the car, but they collect in that area under the glass. The water runs out two drains that are usually in the front corners through drain tubes that run down the fwrd pillars. Make sure their is no blockage in that system.

The sunroof seals are most likely leaking. Look for cracks along the seal or maybe the seal has detached at some point.

I had the same problem. I found the culprit after having my car washed. I noticed that the rear windshield squirter gadget was loose. As soon as I got into the car I noticed that dome light full of water. As soon as I got home, I applied some silicone to the bottom of the squirter. You can access this through the dome light assembly. Just wiggle it a bit and it should come off. Anyway, after that, no more leaks. Hope this helps!
