Faq:
While doing some maintenance work on my car, i was cranking my stereo for two hours, when
all of a sudden the stereo shut down. Later i discovered that most of the interior
functions were not working like the stereo itself, interior lights, the clock, and the
wipers would run back and forth everytime the ignition is turned on. The local mechanic
has asked me to take it to an automotive electrician, due to some "internal
electrical problem".
What might have happened?
Solution:
Disbelieving the mechanic i rushed back home and had a good look at the fusebox myself.
Even though as the mechanic had noted the electronic, interior light, clock and wiper
fuses were all in good condition, i spotted a fuse for "electronics". this was
blown and to my surprise replacing this fixed all the problems.
